Candidates satisfying the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for AIET
1. Candidates must be Indian National .
The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate I Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid Passport shall constitute proof of Nationality.
2. The candidate must be either 17 years of age.
3. Candidate should have passed H.S.C. (10+2) or equivalent examination from a Recognized Board with English securing minimum 50% marks (40% for all categories of backward class students) in the aggregate of the subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) for admission to MBBS / BDS / BAMS courses. The Backward class candidates must attach copy of the Caste Certificate and Caste Verification Certificate along with the application. Candidates who have appeared for H.S.C. or equivalent examination and whose result will be declared before the dates of Counseling will
also be eligible to appear at AIET. Result
The results of the Entrance Test will be displayed on the web site i.e. www.dypatil.ac.in Revaluation There is no provision for revaluation of Answer Books.
Selection Procedure
Candidates who secure the minimum 50% marks at AIET and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils are eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS / BAMS / B.P.T. courses and can be offered provisional admission to these on the basis of their interse merit at the time of counseling. Tiebreaker Rules
In case of equal marks at AIET, the following procedure shall be adopted for determining inter-se-merit:
First level: A candidate securing higher marks in Biology (or Botany & Zoology) in the Entrance Test shall be preferred. If the tie still persists, then,
Second Level: A candidate securing higher marks in Chemistry in the Entrance Test shall pe preferred. If the tie still persists, then,
Third level: A candidate securing higher marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at H.S.C. or equivalent examination shall be preferred, if the tie still persists, then,
Fourth Level: An older candidate shall be preferred over a younger candidate.

All India Entrance Test
B.Tech Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering & M.Tech Integrated (Bioinformatics) Progrmmes Candidates satisfying the following eligibility criteria are eligible to appear for AIET B.Tech Candidate must be Indian National The Nationality, Domicile certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan magistrate or a valid passport shall constitute proof of Nationality.
The candidates who have appeared for HSC or equivalent examination and whose results will be declared before the dates of counseling will also be eligible to appear at AIET – B.Tech
The candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain that age at the time of admission. Candidate should have passed H.S.C. (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and or Mathematics individually also.
The candidate should have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry biology and or Mathematics taken together at the qualifying examination.
The Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and OBC student shall have relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility. Candidates should have secured minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and or Mathematics taken together at the AIET B.Tech and (M.Tech Integrated) competitive entrance examination of this University.
B.Tech/M.Tech Integrated Courses
The candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission. Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, securing minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, (PCMB) and English as a subject is compulsory. Candidates with mathematics will be considered eligible for B.Tech Bioinformatics / B.Tech Biomedical Engineering courses.

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of merit at the Entrance Test
Eligibility criteria for appearing for BAIET (B.Ed All India Entrance Test)
Candidate possessing a graduation degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 45% marks will be eligible to appear for BAIET. Relaxation for category candidates as per the Rules of the state Government.
Selection Process
Candidates who secure a minimum of 50% marks at the BAIET and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by the University shall be eligible for admission on the basis of their inter-se-merit at the tome of counseling.
Eligibility criteria for appearing for AIPGMET (All India Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test) : Doctor of Medicine, (MD) Master of Surgery (MS)
PG Diploma
Eligibility: The candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate / valid passport shall constitute proof of nationality. The candidate must have passed M.B.B.S. Examination from a recognized medical college and should have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or Maharashtra Medical Council after completion of one year rotating internship training.
The candidate undergoing one year rotating internship training and likely to obtain final registration certificate from the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or Maharashtra Medical Council can also appear for the Entrance Test. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate from the Principal / Dean of the College regarding the likely date of completion of their rotating internship training failing which their application will be treated as incomplete and shall be rejected internship training failing which their application will be treated as incomplete and shall be rejected.

1. The date of preference form filling will be announced on www.dmer.org
2. On the (rank-wise) allotted date, you have to go to Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals with certain requisite documents to fill your preference form, which will be made available there itself. You have to fill the names and codes of colleges in the order of your preference. Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy etc. courses should all be mentioned in the same form. You can also apply for the various courses simultaneously.
For example you can fill in MBBS for KEM and BDS for Nair Dental College in the same form.
3. After the form filling procedure for all the students is over, there’s a gap of a few days for the processing to take place.
4. When the first round results are announced you’re allotted in the topmost college of your choice available at your rank; if there’s none, you’re still allowed to participate in the further rounds. You have to continue your admission process at the allotted college; only those who’ve got through into Grant Medical College have to continue their admission process at the same place. At least 3 admission rounds take place; depending on the status of vacancies, there may be more rounds.
5. If you don’t want an upgrade in the further rounds and are happy with the college you are in, you have to fill a form to that effect, enabling the exclusion of your name from the future rounds. Otherwise, if you do get an upgrade in the next round, you have to compulsorily take admission in that college.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE (AFMC) :
- Admissions to Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) are NOT based on Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT- CET). Students have to appear for a separate All India Level Entrance Test held on the 1st Sunday of May and conducted by AFMC itself. Besides the usual Physics, Chemistry and Biology; General Knowledge is an additional criteria in the test.
- The results for this entrance are out within a month where the first 1000 students are short listed for the interview round. Interviews are held in AFMC, Pune ONLY where the questions are primarily based on academics and GK.
- After the interview, there is a Physical Aptitude Test where students are given points according to their performance.
- Finally, a cumulative score based on the entrance, interview and the physical test is calculated and the top 105 boys, 25 girls and 3-5 NRI’s are given admission.

SCHEME FOR PERMISSION OF THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT TO INCREASE THE ADMISSION CAPACITY IN ANY COURSE OF STUDY OR TRAINING (INCLUDING A POSTGRADUATE COURSE OF STUDY OR TRAINING) IN THE EXISTING MEDICAL COLLEGES/INSTITUTIONS.1. INSTRUCTION TO THE MEDICAL COLLEGE/INSTITUTIONFor increasing the number of seats in the MBBS/Post-graduate Diploma/Degree/Higher Speciality courses, the medical collegeinstitution should conform to the regulations prescribed by the Council. They should apply to the Central Government for this permission along with the permission of State Government, affiliation granted by an University recognised under University Grants Commission Act or State Act or Central Act and in conformity with the Medical Council of India Regulations, along with documentary evidence to show the additional financial allocation, provision for additional space and equipment and other infrastructural facilities and provision for recruitment of additional staff as per the Council norms.
2. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION/APPLICATION FEE The application (Appendix II) under this scheme shall be submitted by registered post to the Secretary (Health), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Nirman Bhavan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi-110011 alongwith the information and non-refundable application fee of two lakh rupees in the form of demand draft in favour of “Medical Council of India” and payable at Delhi. This fee is for registration, fee for technical scrutiny and contingent expenditure and for carrying out of physical inspection for the purpose. 3. QUALIFYING CRITERIA
(a) The Medical College/Institution is recognised by the Medical Council of India for running M.B.B.S./P.G. DIPLOMA/PG DEGREE/HIGHER SPECIALITY courses (b) Medical College/institution has received the formal permission of the Central Government under section 10A of the Indian Medical Council Act,1956 (102 of 1956) and has started the post-graduate course in which the increase in admission capacity is sought.
Bachelor of Medicine – upto 25 seats – Rs. 50 lakhs and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) upto 50 seats – Rs. 100 lakhs Postgraduate Diploma per seat – Rs. 3 lakhs Postgraduate Degree per seat – Rs. 5 lakhs Higher Specialities per seat – Rs. 10 lakhs Exception The above condition shall not apply to
4. REGISTRATION OF APPLICATION Incomplete applications will be returned to the medical college/institution by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare along with the enclosures and application fee. Applications found complete in all respects will be registered by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and forwarded to Council within 30 days from the date of receiving it for evaluation and recommendations. Acceptance of the application will only signify the acceptance of application for evaluation. It will, however, under no circumstances mean approval of the application for grant of permission. 5. PRESCRIBED PERIOD In computing the time limit specified above, the time taken by the authorities and institutions submitting the scheme in furnishing, any information or clarification or additional documents called for by the Council or by the Central Government shall be excluded. 6. EVALUATION BY MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIAThe Council shall evaluate the application to accept the desirability and prima-facie feasibility for increasing the admission capacity at the existing medical college/institution and the capability of the medical college/institution to provide the necessary resources and infrastructure for the scheme. While evaluating the application, the Council may seek further information, clarification or additional documents from the applicant as considered necessary and shall carry out a physical inspection to verify the information, clarification or additional documents supplied by the medical college. The dates of receipt of application for increase in admission capacity in postgraduate courses and processing dates are given in the schedule. The dates of receipt of application and processing of applications in respect of increase of seats in MBBS course shall be as per the schedule included in the Establishment of Medical College Regulations, 1999. 7. GRANT OF PERMISSION The Central Government on the recommendations of the Council may issue a Letter of Intent to increase the admission capacity of the courses with such conditions or modifications in the original proposal as may be considered necessary. This letter of intent shall include a clear statement of preliminary requirements to be met. The formal permission will be granted after the above conditions and modifications are accepted and the bank guarantee for the required sums are furnished by the medical college/institution after consulting the council |
