Apply Georgian College for Aviation Management Program
Hello Candidates,
I am very pleased to inform you that Commercial Pilot License holders are eligible for course exemptions and Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition equivalent to one semester and one co-op for the Georgian College Aviation Management Program.
I have mentioned most of the important details below in this mail and also attached a FAQs for this exemption. Important to note is with this exemption it would be ideal for CPL holders to begin in January as they get the advantage of starting directly in Semester 2 of the program.
Commercial Pilots are eligible for course exemptions equivalent to 1 academic semester and a Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR) of 1 work term (optional) and can hence to apply for advanced entry into semester 2 of the Aviation Management Program which begins in January 2014.

With increased competitiveness, the Aviation Industry’s demand for commercial pilot license holders with a post-secondary education has shot up for management and operations positions. This trend is already widely practiced in Europe and North America and is now catching up in Asia and Middle East too.
Advantage for CPL Holders:
• Course exemptions equivalent to one semester and PLAR of one work term (optional)
• Access to a fast tracked advance diploma that can be completed in 2 years and 4 months
• Overall savings of approximately $12,000 in tuition, accommodation, books, etc.
• Opportunity to earn $6000 to $8000 in each co-op (paid work experience in the industry)
• An Advanced Diploma in Aviation Management on completion
• Eligibility for 3 years’ open work permit for Canada upon completion of program
• Option to earn a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in one year after graduation from top ranked aviation universities such as Embry-Riddle and Griffith’s University respectively saving approximately $ 40,000.

Total fees for the Commercial Pilot Aviation Management programme for 2 years and 4 months is $CAD 35000 (approximately) and fees per semester is $CAD 7000 (approximately).
